Houffalize was strategic at the route between Bastogne and Liège. The German commander thought that this town would be well defended. So he decided to shift his route to La Roche, Marche-en-Famenne and Verdenne.

The first stop of this route for us was the German Panther Mark V tank at Houffalize.
