Monument for the French army that liberated Grussenheim on January 29, 1945 There should be a Sherman tank at the entrance of the village Grussenheim. Our map told us that this town had only two entrance roads. We didnít find the tank and we thought that a Sherman tank isnít that small to see it over. Lucky for us they also had a fine local map like the one in Illhaeusern. The tank seems to stand at a very small road that wasnít mentioned on our map. We followed this road after seeing the tank and we found some graves next to this road.
