Because of the heat we planned an easy day for this Sunday. We went to Musée Mémorial des Combats de la Poche de Colmar (Memorial Museum of the battle of the Colmar Pocket) in Turckheim. The name is bigger than the museum, but it was an interesting museum.
We started with a small movie with pictures and comments from the past. Unfortunately it was in French and there were no subtitles but the pictures speak for themselves.
The museum is in a wine cellar with two big halls. We were the only ones in the museum. So, the owner gave us a personal tour in German and in the museum are show-windows with helmets, rifles and dioramas.
