We used this day to visit other important places that we missed earlier and we also visited new monuments.
From September 21, until the 25th, there were heavy fighting between the English allies and the Germans. Finally the English allies succeeded and liberated Bemmel on September 25th.
Next to Bemmel on and around De Heuvel (The Hill) were heavy fighting in September and October between English and German infantry and armoured divisions.
